Current Job Opening in BSF

BSF has issued recruitment 2012 - 2013 notifications about the recruitment process that it will conduct for the various vacancies that have arisen in the organization. These vacancies are related to the posts of - Assistant Sub-Inspector (Stenographer) and Head Constable (Ministerial). The total number of vacancies defined for these two positions in the department is 386. The reservation of vacancies for the candidates belonging to reserved categories would be as per the government instructions.

Who is Eligible: The following candidates are eligible for the available vacancies:

• Candidates between 18years and 25 years (Upper age limit relaxation as per the policies of the government).
   
• Candidates who are 12^th pass or equivalent from any recognized board (for Constable Vacancies) and Matriculation with Diploma in Secretarial Practice/ Modern Office Practice/ Commercial Practice along with good knowledge of typing or shorthand (for Assistant Sub Inspector vacancies).

Recruitment/Selection Procedure: The initial shortlisting of candidates would be done on the basis of their educational qualifications, age and other related eligibility criteria. These shortlisted candidates will have to go through the following selection procedure for the final selection decision to be made for the available vacancies:

• Written Examination (for testing the aptitude of the candidates)
• PST
• Short Hand Test
• Typing Test
• Verification of documents
• Medical Examination

How to Apply: The candidates will have to follow the below given steps to apply to the vacancies:

• Fill the application form that has been provided in the recruitment notification.
   
• Attach photograph and along with it, put attested certificate copies, 3 photographs, application fee, 2 self addressed envelopes with stamps of Rs. 27 on each of them and the superscription on the envelope should be Application for the Post of Assistant Sub-Inspector (Stenographer) or Head Constable (Ministerial) in Boarder Security Force-2012.
   
• These documents should reach the address of the recruitment cell of the BSF as given in the recruitment notification.
   
• Except for Scheduled Cast/ Scheduled Tribe / BSF candidates/ Women candidates, all the other candidates need to pay the examination fee of Rs. 50 through Crossed bank draft or postal orders.

Important Notes: The applications from the candidates must reach the appropriate address before the date 30/11/12 (for nearby geographies) and 15/12/12 (for distant areas).
