Quota Vacancies: Railway Recruitment
Cell, Eastern Railway, Kolkata has issued notification for the recruitment of
10 Scouts and Guides positions under Group ‘C’ and Group ‘D’ categories.
Eligible Candidates may apply through prescribed application format on or
before 08-02-2013. For more details regarding age, educational qualifications,

Age Limit: Candidates age should be 18-30 years for Group C category, 18-33
years for Group D category positions as on 01-07-2013. Age relaxations will be
applicable as per the rules.
Educational Qualifications: Candidate should possess Matriculation or
equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate for Non- Technical popular categories in
Group ‘C’, Apprenticeship /ITI for Technician Category in Group ‘C’, passed 10th class or ITI or equivalent and scouting/ guiding
qualification for Group D positions as mentioned in the notification.
Examination Fee: Candidates have to pay Rs.40/- (Rupees forty
only) either in form of Demand Draft/ India Postal Order drawn in favour of
‘FA&CAO, Eastern Railway Kolkata. This examination fee is not refundable/
transferable/ adjustable any circumstances.
Selection Process: Selection of the candidate will be based on the
performance in interview. Final selection will be subjected to medical
examination in the prescribed medical standard by Railway medical authority
prior to appointment after due selection.
How to Apply: Candidates who are eligible may send their
application forms along with all copies of certificates duly attested by a
Gazetted officer and two self-addressed envelopes with Rs.5/- postage stamp to
be fixed on each envelope and two recent passport size photographs by
mentioning the post applied for on the envelope to the respective address
mentioned in the notification on or before 08-02-2013.
